Yellow Pine Farms specializes in training young sport horse prospects. We have a passion for young horses and believe in giving them the best start possible through a well rounded training program. We appreciate the versatility of horses and find that they enjoy a multitude of activities that we like to incorporate into our training. We pride ourselves in having happy horses who are treated with understanding and have their individual needs met according to interest and ability.

We believe horsemanship starts from the ground up and believe in teaching all of our students to be well rounded horsemen. Our goal is to create the best partnership possible with you and your horse. Services

Training

At Yellow Pine Farms our goal is to bring the upmost potential out of each horse. Young horses are started with care and patience. We believe each horse will tell you when they are ready for the next step. Older horses are reintroduced to fundamental exercises to start from the ground up.

By understanding and starting at the basics, we can create a wonderful partnership and a horse with a willing attitude. Our training consists of round pen work, ground driving, hacking out, dressage schooling, trail course schooling, jumping both stadium and cross country, field trips, as well as competition. We believe in the versatility of horses and enjoy keeping them eager to learn through a multitude of different activities. Though our intent is to compete, we believe that the time put in, outside of the ring, is what makes a solid ride in the ring.

Lessons

At Yellow Pine Farms we can help you build the confidence to achieve your dreams. We have a variety of horses suitable for different experience levels.

Our lesson program is all-inclusive in that you will have the opportunity to learn about horse care and management as well as riding. We want to best prepare our students to succeed with their current or future horses. We love the sense of community at our farm and want to spread the joy and positivity that our horses bring us to everyone we meet.
